Event-planning questions we hear most

What kinds of ceremonies will I be able to plan with RootsNRites?

We're planning support for weddings, housewarmings (griha pravesh), naming ceremonies, first-rice and thread ceremonies, milestone birthdays and last rites — across Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Christian, Jain, Buddhist, Parsi and inter-faith traditions. None of this is built yet; join the waitlist to hear when it opens.

What vendor categories are planned?

We're planning twelve categories: officiants, caterers, decor, photography and video, live-streaming, music and DJs, venues, make-up and wardrobe, invitations, drivers, cleaners, and funeral & remembrance services. This is our roadmap, not a live marketplace yet.

Will the RSVP handle dietary requirements?

That's the plan — dietary-aware RSVPs (Jain, vegetarian, halal, vegan, allergies) are on our roadmap. Not built yet, so no RSVPs are being collected today.

Will the planner account for muhurat timing?

We're planning for the event timeline to build around the muhurat your priest confirms, with dependent tasks scheduling backwards from it. This isn't live yet — join the waitlist to hear when it opens.
